Seeing as we are all checking out Omni again, thought it would be nice to hear what everyone has been doing lately?

Dori and I have settled into our new house in Germany, spent and amazing and snowy winter here. Our biggest news is that our first grandchild is on the way, due to come into this crazy world in July. I am over the moon about it, cannot wait to be a grandmother!! So we will be in the UK for a month or so this summer, hope to see you all then.

I feel it has been a good move coming to Germany, we are only 6 hours drive from the UK, so we can still keep in touch with family and friends, and we have a brilliant farmhouse, barn and huge garden, all waiting for our Omni family to pay us a visit. Was wondering how everyone felt about maybe having an Omni family gathering out here? We have enough room for it I think!

Love to you all!!

Blowing kiss Love Love Sun

Hey Vic! How are things for you? Enjoying fatherhood a lot? You are one of the people I have missed, I know you are not on FB. I caved in after everyone seemed to shift away from Omni, but I certainly do miss the chats we all used to have on here! As you will not have seen where we are, here is a load of pictures taken since we moved in! You do not have to sign up for FB to view

Well
My daughter has recently made me a Grandad Alarmed
and have just found out my son is going to rub it in.
So by this summer i will have "two" Grandchildren.
My new grand daughter is so beautiful
Which more than makes up for the old feeling.

Oh, you know, this and that. Nothing in particular.

Published another book, a novella telling a story about the nature of consciousness and magic and mind and starring a penguin. Should only take an hour or so to read, it's all there on the website.

Seem to have been tricked into joining a band too. Only had about four sessions together so far. Needs much much improvement. They tell me there'll be a gig in May or so.

Got some Glasto tickets this year. Woo. Most of my friends appear not to be going though. Hey ho. Maybe I'll make some new friends!

By "family gathering" I take it you mean 20 hours of fullon bangin' psy and 300 people? I'm sure Angel will be up for it Snigger

I've been working and gardening and doing yoga and buying things for our house and garden on ebay. Latest one arrived this morning - £16.99 for a cracking little usb travel speaker for the laptop. This is so I can do yoga to a CD in my hotel rooms, and listen to radio 4 and the World Service, while I'm travelling.

Got a trip to the Russian Far East and Indonesia coming up, leaving next Friday for three weeks Sad

Great to hear from you Elayne. It must be a great upheaval moving to another country but sounds like you are well settled and happy. I went onto FB for the very first time to see your great pics – haven’t been back on it though lol.
Oh and a grandparent to be – what a lucky child to have such great grandparents!

My life is awesome(or was until my redundancy letter this morning!).

Maya was 1000 days old this week and can recite the alphabet and count to 30!!!!!!!!!!!! Think she will be an accountant like her mother, lol.

Diya is doing really well too 10months old now and crawling everywhere. She definitely takes after me as she is the naughtier of the two dances like me and has rhythm lol. Parenthood is like nothing else. Tantrum

Onwards & upwards

I miss the forum! Everyone knows everyone (almost). You read what someone's written and, in your mind, you can see them saying it. Stupid FB has taken over and as far as I'm concerned, it's a bag'o shite. You spend most of the time reading stuff that doesn't mean anything, from people you don't know.

Anyway, what am I doing? Don't really know. There's so much I want to do but somehow time goes faster than I can do things. I know what I'm doing tomorrow. I'm going to try to sharpen my chainsaw - never done it before. There's a tree that's fallen in the garden and I have to chop it up. If you don't hear from me in the next few days, ask greatruaha what's happened to me Alarmed

(Wonders to himself how many people are going to read this)

Well, one thing at a time. I sharpened the chain, yesterday I went and got the oil for the saw. Today I got a can for carrying the petrol in and tomorrow I shall get the petrol and if there's enough time I may start the chopping.

Don't want to rush things too much.

Anyway, what's all this Omni party stuff I've seen mentioned? Nobody tells me nuffink. Cross

Wow, that was nice. I don't know how I missed out on Pink Floyd. I was more into R&B back then and not into those long-haired, druggy pinko fags. Dancing banana

well....most recently im still house sitting in Walthamstow which ive been doing for over a year now for a friend of mine (so no bills or rent)...was working for the police improvements agency and the department for health up until the end of January. Went to India for the month of february...and have returned and have no job..and not much by the way of money left...so am getting by on djing..which is hard work as the money is inconsistent! had an interview for a job at the ministry of justice last week but found out i did not get the job today..so back to the drawing board..

im also greatly disappointed that our omniscience party was stopped before it started at the weekend as a great deal of effort went into it.

Had a whale of a time... Wink

Aw, always fun when you end up with a couple of dozen folks back home with you. Hope the clean-up wasn't too much.

Not popped my head around here for a while, doesn't seem like there's much going on. Facebook never really did it for me either, but I'm Tweeting a bit at least I guess.

Not like a good old cozy form though.

Hi Aste - nice to hear from you and glad you're enjoying life in Bristol! All's good at our end, just had a fab weekend pottering about in the garden in the sunshine (and spending too much money in the garden centre Alarmed ).

Got a new job (still the same company, though) which I am ecstatic about. The account I was on closed (LTSB, our client, has taken all the services we did for them back in-house). The majority of people got TUPEed over to Lloyds TSB but I have no intention of working for a bank, ever, so my head of department found me a role to crave for. And that's all I'm prepared to say about it on a public forum....

The first thing my new boss (actually my old boss from the job before this one) did when he saw me was take a photo. He's now one of the few people that has evidence to prove I own a suit.
